Ibrahim Sheikh - Finance Director


Ibrahim has 30 years of experience in corporate finance having started his ACCA management accountancy career with Grindlays Bank and then successfully moving onto JP Morgan Chase, where he was responsible for performance and budgetary reporting across EMEA. Ibrahim was part of the senior management team responsible for the introduction of new ICT technologies for JP Morgan Chase delivering improvements in MIS reporting and significant cost savings.

Ibrahim has worked closely with Manchester University (MSEC) as a business mentor, assisting university start-up enterprises from incorporation to successful IP commercialisation.

Ibrahim is a BAB and UKTI (Trade International) Accredited Management Consultant working closely with enterprise organisations delivering business development to senior management at a national and international level. Ibrahim is also Associate Member of UK based Non-Executive Directors Club.

Ibrahim was appointed Director of Commercial Due Diligence at NCL (Innovation) Ltd. and as Associate Consultant with Pera Ltd. undertaking both financial and legal due diligence for companies seeking to raise finance from private (VC’s and Angels), UK government (Innovate UK) and European (EASME-H2020) grant awarded programmes.

Ibrahim believes Qubic Aerial Systems Limited is the right commercial vehicle for the early adoption of 2D and 3D digital imaging for external and internal surveying and forensic investigations within the professional major loss insurance claims management sector. Ibrahim is an investor, shareholder and director of the company.

Ibrahim enjoys the day to day interaction as CFO and NED and brings a great depth of experience in commercial financial analysis, business development and a 24/7 approach to cost management.

Ibrahim has a Postgraduate Degree in Law (University of Manchester), a Double Honours Degree in Economics and Geography (University of Keele) and is presently reading for an MSc. Law and Business Administration at the University of Law, Chester, England.



Owner and founding member of QASL John has over 22 years of experience in engineering, design and construction with a diverse career path originally studying and training as a mechanical engineer specialising in Gas/Steam turbines. John then went on to work with a world class design company AKA, based in London designing & building recording studios, technical facilities, architectural/product/furniture design and development with clients such as ABB, GE, IBM, Sainsburys, Google, American Airlines & First Leisure.

John has over 10 years experience with complex & major loss building claims within the insurance sector and has worked with numerous private clients dealing with industrial, commercial and residential building projects.

John is passionate about the latest 3D technology and using it effectively to deliver complex projects on time and within budget. John has attained his chartered status with RICS and has qualified as a commercial drone pilot with a BNUC-s license. Personal interests include electronic music, sailing, tennis & hockey

Huayu Lin - business development director

Huayu Lin, also known as Henry, is a highly motivated business management graduate with a Master Degree in Management and Business Administration from Keele University, England, as well as a  Bachelor Degree in International Business Communications.

Henry studied and successfully achieved a Diploma in Urban Landscape and Design from Shenzen, China and is also certified and proficient in digital design applications such as AutoCAD and SketchUp.

Henry is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and English.

Henry brings a depth of international business acumen to Qubic as an investor, shareholder and director.


Mike Sorbie - Project Engineer

Mike is the Lead project engineer for Qubic with a Masters of Mechanical Engineering from Sheffield University and 4 years developing and implementing technology into BAES, Airbus, Embraer and Siemens.

Specialising in Photogrammetry, Computer Vision and Augmented Reality Capture, Mike has successfully developed, lead and delivered an Innovate UK photogrammetry MRO product from inception to a pilot with a consortium of companies to one of the largest private UK Aerospace manufacturers. 

Mike is proficient in development and processing of Point Cloud data, machine learning and artificial intelligence to solve complex problems.
